Fighter pilot Dustin Leibel
Grade 12 what an explosive year, full of new relationships and a family bond that gets stronger as time passes on. But as time goes on I will be family with my military brothers much like my grad 12 comrades. This is our last year at this school and I want to make the best of it so I can get my future career as being a fighter pilot in the armed forces. Being a fighter pilot in the armed forces has be my dream for many years that I wish to achieve. Being a fighter pilot is like being on a roller coaster that wants to kill you. Just imagine flying the f 35 on a warm sunny day at 1200 kilometers per hour then suddenly you here missile lock. You break right and chaff electronic counter measures you lose lock frantically looking for the bogey he is right behind you, you pull and hit 3 g’s you feel heavier than ever while gaining about 6000 ft in under 3 seconds. As you fly upwards you cut engines only to stall a few brief seconds later you nose points downwards you kick in after burners accelerating at crazy speeds. Now you are on a head on head game of chicken with 56000lbs of thrust behind you, you hear lock again you chaff switch to gins and shred the opponent in front of you turning them into an epic explosion that you can feel the heat from. You realize you are about to hit the debris you pull up taking nearly 5 g’s almost passing out as you se the black ring enclosing on your eyes but it fades away and you are alive. You hear a return to base over the radio so you comply landing safely end one normal day as a fighter pilot wondering what your adventure is going to be next day. But doing well in grade 12 will help me achieve this dream. I just have to get an average of 70 and I will have high chances of being accepted. Being a fighter pilot is the ultimate goal and I need to achieve it.
